The content of the Symposium is developed as follows:
• The
Host Organization circulates a Call for Papers & Participation for
the Symposium via a world-wide mailing.
• The Host Organization sends each proposal to at least two members of
the IPC (according to their expertise). See section 5a.
• The role of the IPC is to jury, rank, and select proposals and papers.
• The Host Organization is encouraged to include several invited
speakers, performers, exhibitors, etc. in the program in addition to
those selected through the jurying process.
• A Preliminary Program is proposed to the entire IPC. The IPC must
have the chance to comment before the official Preliminary Program is
printed.
• The Preliminary Program is distributed by the Host Organization on a
large scale, including a registration form. Since this is the main
announcement of the symposium it has to be mailed out world-wide in time
for potential participants to make all necessary arrangements, i.e.
approximately six months before the actual event.
• The Final Program is made available to Symposium participants only.

program structure. Each Symposium program is developed from a core set

submitted as artistic project presentations.
