GUIDELINES FOR THE HOST ORGANIZATION
Submissions
will be accepted from:
Category 1: (Educational) institutes (universities, art schools, museums etc.), (artistic, cultural or scientific) organizations, government bodies, etc;
Category 2*: Congress organizing bureaus;
Category 3**: Umbrella organizations created for the purpose of hosting an ISEA Symposium.
*Category 2
applicants must be able to demonstrate evidence of organizing earlier,
comparable and successful events.
**Category 3 applicants must show evidence of support and thus prove
the feasibility of their financial plan.
SELECTION PROCESS
The ISEA Board of Directors currently invites those interested in
hosting a future ISEA Symposium to manifest their interest. Letters
of interest indicating location, host organization, year, and (if
possible) dates of the proposed Symposium will be accepted during
a submission period defined by ISEA.

AGREEMENT BETWEEN HOST ORGANIZATION AND ISEA
Upon being being selected, the Host Organization enters into a contractual agreement with ISEA regarding the planning of the ISEA Symposium. The agreement engages the Host Organization to:
• do everything within its power to ensure the Symposium is organized in accordance with the guidelines below;
• pay a 000 (US) fee to ISEA within six months of being selected to host the event;
• submit for information purposes a financial report and an activity report to ISEA in the 3 months following the event.
• forward an updated database of contacts gathered over the course of planning the Symposium in the 3 months following the event.
GUIDELINES
FOR THE HOST ORGANIZATION
Use of ISEA Name and Logo
• The Host Organization will ensure that the ISEA name and logo appear on all printed materials related to the Symposium
• The Host Organization will include the ISEA mission statement, as well as a membership application form with the Call for Papers and Participation, the Preliminary Program and in the registration materials provided to delegates of the Symposium
Archives
• The term "archives" refers to all audiovisual and printed material issuing from the symposium (including, but not limited to, support documentation sent with artist submissions, symposium website, symposium catalogue, symposium poster, proceedings, promotional material, and audio-visual documentation of the event)
• The Host Organization agrees to bequeath these documents (originals or copies) to ISEA for the ISEA Archives
• The artists will be notified and will sign a release on the Call for Proposals permitting their material to be included in the ISEA Archives
• This material will be used by ISEA only for non-commercial promotional, educational and research purposes
Proceedings
• The Host Organization agrees to publish the Symposium proceedings as a minimum requirement.
• The Host Organization will give ISEA the right to sell/distribute the Symposium proceedings and other publications after the event
