Call for Abu Dhabi Art Hub / ISEA2014 International Residency Program

ISEA2014 is happy to announce a Call for Artist Residencies with the Art Hub Abu Dhabi.

Three individuals will be accepted for a one-month ISEA2014 Art Hub Residency leading up to ISEA 2014.

Abu Dhabi Art Hub / ISEA2014 International Residency Program.

Start/End Dates: 4-week residencies between September 1 and November 15, 2014

Deadline for submissions: June 23, 2014

Projected Date of Notification of Acceptance: July 1-15, 2014

Number of Sponsored Residencies: 3

ISEA2014 in conjunction with the Abu Dhabi Art Hub invite you to apply to a residency program which encourages you to use your time in Abu Dhabi to experiment, develop new ideas, to be inspired by the rich culture of the UAE, and to interact with your fellow residents and the local community to create work related to the ISEA2014 theme of Location.

Residents will be introduced to the rich history, culture, and traditions of the UAE with day excursions within the Emirates of Abu Dhabi and Dubai and with an excursion to one of Art Hub’s residency location in the beautiful desert Oasis at Liwa. Art Hub’s expectation is that the works will be inspired by these excursions throughout the UAE.

Sue Gollifer is currently the Director of the ISEA International Headquarters. She is an artist, a Principal Lecturer in Fine Art and the Course Leader for Digital Media Arts MA and a researcher and curator at the University of Brighton, UK. She is on a number of National and International Committees, including (CAS) the Computer Arts Society, (DAM), Digital Art Museum, and (DAC) the ACM SIGGRAPH Digital Arts Community. She is currently the ACM Chair of ‘The Distinguished Artist Award for Lifetime Achievement in Digital Art’.
