ISEA2014 CFP:Presentations Of Institutes And Organisations

Join us for complex conversations around the theme ‘Location’. Lectures, workshops, panel discussions, exhibitions, keynote presentations, and more will create a vibration in Dubai sure to be felt around the globe.
Please submit your proposals for the ISEA2014 Dubai under the theme of Location. Proposals should describe the work done by the institute or organisation, for example the way the presentation is to be given and by whom. A brief description outlining the activities and mission of the institute or organisation should be included. The proposals will only be judged on their relevance within the context of electronic or emerging art. The presentation must have a maximum length of 10 minutes.
Please note Institutional Presenters are not eligible for any fee waiving. Each speaker is required to register and pay the full fee.

• Please take the sub-themes into consideration and feel free to think beyond them under the overarching theme of Location.
• Deadline for submissions: July 1, 2014. Submissions will be reviewed on a monthly basis.

The series of ISEA symposia is coordinated by ISEA International. Founded in the Netherlands in 1990, ISEA International (formerly Inter-Society for the Electronic Arts) is an international non-profit organisation fostering interdisciplinary academic discourse and exchange among culturally diverse organisations and individuals working with art, science and technology.
ISEA International Headquarters is supported by the University of Brighton (UK)

Sue Gollifer is currently the Director of the ISEA International Headquarters. She is an artist, a Principal Lecturer in Fine Art and the Course Leader for Digital Media Arts MA and a researcher and curator at the University of Brighton, UK. She is on a number of National and International Committees, including (CAS) the Computer Arts Society, (DAM), Digital Art Museum, and (DAC) the ACM SIGGRAPH Digital Arts Community. She is currently the ACM Chair of ‘The Distinguished Artist Award for Lifetime Achievement in Digital Art’.
